The Swedish team progressed to the final with a brilliant victory over Ukraine (3-1) on Thursday in the semi-finals of the second path of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Victor Gyokeres stood out as the star of the match by scoring a hat-trick for the Swedish team (6, 51, and 73 from a penalty).
On the other hand, Matviy Bonomarenko scored the only goal for Ukraine (90).
Sweden will face its competitor Poland next Tuesday in the final of the second path.
The Polish team had passed the hurdle of its counterpart, the Albanian team (2-1), on its way to the final match.
The scorers for the winner were Robert Lewandowski (63) and Piotr Zielinski (73).
Meanwhile, the losing team’s goal was scored by Arber Hoxha (42).
