Khaberni - The commander of the US Central Command "CENTCOM", Admiral Brad Cooper, announced a new tally for the military operations within "Epic Fury" against Iran.
Cooper stated in the fifth update of the military campaign that the US forces have entered the fourth week of operations, indicating that things are going according to the planned strategy to achieve clear military objectives aimed at "eliminating Iran's ability to extend its influence beyond its borders".
The American commander clarified that the US forces targeted more than 10,000 military objectives, noting that target number 10,000 was struck just hours before the announcement. He added that the US forces are coordinating with the Israeli ally, and that the joint strikes have resulted in the destruction of thousands of additional targets.
Details of the operations:
- Iranian Navy: Cooper affirmed that the strikes destroyed 92% of Iran's largest warships, noting that these ships are no longer able to navigate, which diminished Iran's ability to "extend power and maritime influence effectively in the region and around the world".
- Drone and Missile Launch Platforms: More than 90% of the launch platforms were destroyed, which led to a significant decline in Iran's ability to attack US forces and neighboring countries.
- Military Manufacturing Facilities: The strikes damaged or destroyed more than two-thirds of the facilities for producing missiles, drones, and naval capabilities, including shipyards.
Cooper confirmed that the operations were not limited to targeting existing military capabilities, but extended to preventing Iran from rebuilding its capacities, pointing out that the American forces are targeting "the complete elimination of Iran's broader military manufacturing system".
Cooper concluded his statements by saying that his operational assessment indicates that Iranian combat capabilities are continuously declining, while American combat capabilities are increasing, adding: "We show that we are stronger together. Our precise strikes have overcome the Iranian air defense systems, and our combat sorties over Iran are producing tangible results".
On February 28, the United States and Israel began bombing targets in Iran, including Tehran, resulting in damage and civilian casualties. Iran, in turn, has launched retaliatory strikes on Israeli territory, as well as targeting American military objectives in the Middle East.
