The government Nearly 7000 people from 60 countries crossed Jordan this month due to tensions

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi said that Jordan's crossings are open, confirming that the Kingdom dealt with a wide movement of different nationals crossing during the regional tensions in March.

Safadi explained in his statements on the program "Voice of the Kingdom," on Wednesday evening, that about 7,000 people from around 60 countries crossed Jordan by air and land, through various border points, mentioning the execution of 45 evacuation flights involving European, African, and Asian nationalities.

He added that Jordan commits to granting the right of transit or return to the countries of foreign nationals, according to international agreements and commitments, noting that this is not the first time that nationals of countries have been evacuated through the territory of the Kingdom, due to Jordan's stability and important geographical location in the region.

He indicated that many countries turned to Jordan during the regional tensions to evacuate their citizens, as part of the ongoing coordination between these countries and the Kingdom.

Regarding Jordanians abroad, Safadi clarified that about 7,000 citizens in the Gulf countries crossed towards Saudi Arabia, and arrangements are being made to facilitate their return to the Kingdom, noting that about 3,000 of them have already returned.
