Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi stated that Jordan was subject to strikes targeting the kingdom's territory by factions present in Iraq, during the regional tensions.
Al-Safadi clarified in his statements via the "Voice of the Kingdom" program, on Wednesday evening, that the Jordanian government had communicated with the Iraqi government several times, emphasizing the need to stop these aggressions and prevent their recurrence.
He confirmed that Jordan is dealing with these developments with wisdom and does not want escalation, stressing that the kingdom is keen on its security and stability.
He added that Jordan highly values its relations with Iraq and maintains brotherly relations that it respects and strives to enhance and sustain.
At the same time, Al-Safadi stressed the need for the Iraqi government to do what is necessary to prevent these factions from targeting Jordan and other countries in the region.
