Event titled Our Islamic Sanctities and the Role of Hashemite Custodianship in Protecting Them and Preserving Their Identity

Amman witnessed a distinctive cultural event entitled “Our Islamic Sanctities and the Role of Hashemite Custodianship in Protecting Them and Preserving Their Identity”, organized by the Ministry of Education represented by the Teachers' Clubs / Amman Teachers' Club, in cooperation with the Jerusalem Cultural Forum and Al-Aqsa Pioneers – All the Wall, attended by a group of educators and people interested in the Jerusalem cause.

The ceremony commenced with the royal anthem, hosted by the event's master of ceremonies, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ayasra. It featured a fragrant recitation of the Holy Quran by the reciter Muhammad Khalil Mazhar, followed by a pre-event survey to measure the audience's awareness level.

A keynote lecture was delivered by His Excellency former Minister Dr. Hayel Abdul Hafiz Dawood, former Minister of Awqaf, focusing on the true extent of Al-Aqsa Mosque within its walls (144 dunums), affirming that its protection stems from correct understanding of it. He also emphasized that Hashemite custodianship is not merely a political framework but an ongoing religious and historical commitment manned by the Hashemite leadership over decades, in the protection of Islamic and Christian sanctities, maintaining their Arab and Islamic identity, and preserving the historical status quo in Jerusalem.

He also pointed out that this custodianship has been manifested practically in ongoing reconstruction projects, and political and diplomatic defense of Jerusalem in international forums, alongside care for the holy sites and maintaining their spiritual stature, affirming that this role constitutes the first line of defense for the identity of the city and its sanctuaries.

The event also included a video presentation of the team's accomplishments, a poetry segment by the poet Saeed Yaqoub, along with a remarkable display of the team's emblem video, which deeply symbolized Al-Aqsa Mosque blending elements of land, identity, and faith into a single image, reaffirming that Al-Aqsa is not just a place, but a cause of a nation and a living conscience under continuous guardianship by Hashemite custodianship.

Additionally, a video titled “Courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque – All the Wall” was shown, followed by a post-event survey to measure the impact of the event.

On the organizational side, the pivotal role of the Director of Financial Affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Education, Dr. Atallah Abbas Darwish Al Hamran, who contributed significantly to managing financial and administrative aspects with high efficiency, along with the efforts of the Supplies Section represented by Engineer Abdel Hadi and Mohammad Sharfa in providing logistical arrangements, and the contribution of the Buildings Department in preparing the venue, was a clear representation of institutional integration among various departments.

The event also saw the participation of representatives from the Jerusalem Cultural Forum and the “Al-Aqsa All the Wall” initiative, including Ansam Salem Al Blawna, Rua Walid, and Hisham Al Khateeb, aiming to embed the correct understanding of Al-Aqsa Mosque and enhance awareness about it among teachers and students.

The event concluded with the royal anthem, where Ibrahim Assaf, the Director of Teachers' Clubs, emphasized that Hashemite custodianship is a fundamental pillar in protecting the sanctities, and that enhancing awareness of this historical and religious responsibility is a national and educational duty, stressing the importance of continuing such events to keep the issue alive in the public conscience.

This event affirms that the Hashemite custodianship will remain a beacon for preserving the sanctities, a model in carrying the trust, and that protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque is a shared responsibility, beginning with continuous awareness
