Khaberni - As the ongoing war intensifies between Iran, America, and Israel, with the American president threatening on Saturday to target energy facilities unless the Strait of Hormuz is opened within 48 hours, Donald Trump vowed to completely destroy Iran if it does not open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump told an Israeli channel on Sunday: "We will destroy Iran completely if they do not open the Strait of Hormuz."
Regarding the possibility of Iran's surrender, he stated: "You will know soon, and it will be great. Total annihilation of Iran."
He added that "Iran has been receiving the punishment it deserves for 47 years."
48 hours
It should be noted that the American president gave Iran, on Saturday evening, 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz for maritime navigation, threatening to destroy its energy infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guard said, "If Trump carries out his threats to target Iranian energy facilities, the Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed," adding that any attack of this kind will be met with a wide response.
The Iranian military also threatened to target "energy and water facilities belonging to the United States in the region" if the country's energy infrastructure is targeted.
The Iranian Ministry of Defense also confirmed that the military "will continue to fight vigorously until the complete surrender of the enemy," as it expressed.
It is noted that recent Iranian attacks had resulted in the actual closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passage through which about one-fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas supplies pass, causing the worst oil crisis since the 1970s. Its near-complete closure led to a rise in gas prices in Europe by up to 35% last week.
