Khaberni - International football player Jorginho ignited controversy on social media, after publicly criticizing the rising singer Chapel Rowan.
The controversy stems from an unfortunate incident that occurred at a hotel in Sao Paulo, which caused Ada Law, the 11-year-old daughter of his wife from the famous actor Jude Law, to cry.
Details of the incident
The incident happened on March 21, 2026, while Harding and her daughter were attending the Lollapalooza festival in Brazil, according to People magazine
According to Jorginho, the child Ada, who admired Rowan, had spotted the singer while having breakfast. The player stated that Ada simply smiled and passed by Rowan's table without any direct conversation or asking for an autograph.
However, according to Jorginho, Rowan's security guard intervened aggressively, accusing the child of "harassment" and "disrespect," and threatened to file a formal complaint with the hotel, which led to the child being shocked and crying heavily.
Family reaction
To express their support for the child, Jorginho posted on Instagram a picture of a sign made by Ada by hand, affirming that what had happened was merely "a child expressing admiration for someone," emphasizing his respect for boundaries and privacy, but he sent a sharp message to Rowan: "Without your fans, you are nothing".
Catherine Harding, Ada’s mother, reposted her husband's statements in solidarity with him, amid significant media attention due to the child's connection to her famous father.
The controversy over the boundary between stars and fans
Chapel Rowan is known for her strict stances towards fans and photographers, but this incident sparked wide discussion about whether the boundaries imposed on fans were unfairly applied to a child. So far, no official comment has been issued by Rowan's representatives or the hotel management.
