Jordan Shipping Syndicate Aqaba Port Unaffected by Regional Situations

Khaberni - Mohammad Abdel Hadi, the secretary of the Jordan Shipping Syndicate, said that Aqaba Port has not been affected by the regional situations so far, and continues to operate efficiently, especially compared to Gulf ports.

Abdel Hadi explained during his talk on "Al-Mamlaka" channel that since the beginning of March until now, 92 ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, compared to about 1400 ships during the same period last year, indicating a decline in maritime traffic in the region.

He pointed out predictions of rising prices for some goods due to increased fuel and maritime shipping costs, noting at the same time that he has received requests from international companies considering using Aqaba Port as a regional entry point for their operations.
