Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the continuation of terrorist settler attacks on Palestinians, including recent assaults on several villages and towns in the occupied northern West Bank. The Ministry held Israel, the occupying power, responsible for these attacks.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, unequivocally rejected these attacks and the rising terrorism of the settlers against the Palestinian people, warning of the continued violations in the occupied West Bank and the ongoing restrictive measures against Palestinians in conjunction with the terrorist attacks by extremist settlers that threaten to explode the situation, jeopardizing the security and stability of the region.
Al-Majali called on the international community to take its legal and moral responsibilities and to compel Israel, the occupying power, to stop its dangerous escalation and the settlers' assaults, and to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital; this being the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that ensures security and stability in the region.
