BTS Returns with a Historic MegaConcert in Seoul After a 4Year Absence

Khaberni - Seoul witnessed an exceptional return of the band "BTS" with a huge public concert at Gwanghwamun Square, amid the attendance of thousands and the global following of millions via live broadcast.

"BTS" marked a strong comeback to the music scene by hosting the largest public music event in South Korea's history, at Gwanghwamun Square in the capital, Seoul, after a hiatus of about four years.

The event attracted an enormous public attendance estimated at about 260,000 people, while millions of viewers around the world followed it on the "Netflix" platform, which acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for the show.

The event featured the participation of all seven band members for the first time since October 2022, where they presented a full-hour performance, blending new songs with the classics that made their global fame.

During the concert, the band performed a selection of songs from their new album "Arirang", along with some of their most famous works such as "Dynamite", "Butler", and "Mic Drop", before concluding the show with the song "Mikrokosmos".

Despite an ankle injury of the band leader "RM", who appeared sitting during most of the concert, he insisted on participating in the performance, which was met with acclaim from the audience.

The new album "Arirang" carries cultural meanings inspired by Korean heritage, being named after the most famous folk song that symbolizes endurance and hope, and it achieved strong sales exceeding 3.9 million copies on its first day.

This comeback follows a pause due to mandatory military service, as the band prepares for a global tour that includes more than 30 cities in the upcoming period, which will enhance its global presence anew.
