Russia Begins Serial Production of Foropi15 Drone Bomber

Khaberni - Serial production has started in Novosibirsk, Russia, for the latest model of the drone bomber "Foropi-15". This heavy drone is distinguished by its ability to carry a useful load of up to 15 kilograms.

The new "Foropi-15" drone is an octocopter (eight propellers) and is designed to carry heavy ammunition.

As reported by the "TASS" agency, the current assembly rate of these drones is about 1000 per month, but the manufacturer is prepared to quickly increase production to reach 10,000 drones per month. The drone relies on a 15x7x3 serial propeller and was developed in a design office in Novosibirsk.

A spokesperson for "Spectr", the manufacturing company, indicated that the design of the eight propellers offers significant advantages during flight. He explained that classical quadcopter drones often lose control and crash if one of their propellers fails, while an octocopter can continue to fly even after a partial malfunction, which enhances its high reliability.

The designers at "Spectr" confirm that the "Foropi-15" is highly maintainable. The drone was designed in a way that allows its power margin to be utilized multiple times, making it difficult to disable. This design includes the arms, screws, panels, engine mounts, and even the engines, to ensure the execution of combat missions without obstacles.
