King Abdullah and Tamim condemn Iranian attacks and confirm rejection of dragging the region into escalation

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, discussed the serious developments in the region during a meeting in Doha on Tuesday.

The leaders, during the meeting, condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks on Jordan and the State of Qatar, emphasizing the need to stop them immediately as they are an assault on state sovereignty and a violation of international law.

The leaders also expressed their rejection of attempts to involve Arab countries in a conflict they are not a part of, emphasizing the necessity of using dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve disputes.

The leaders affirmed the importance of maintaining coordination at the bilateral level, calling for an intensification of regional and international efforts to reduce escalation and restore stability in the region.

His Majesty the King emphasized Jordan's continued actions to take all necessary measures to maintain its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens. His Majesty also warned of the dangers of exploiting the ongoing war in the region as a pretext to restrict the freedom of worshippers to access the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Noble Sanctuary, and to impose a new reality in the West Bank and Gaza.

His Majesty the King emphasized the need to support Lebanon's efforts to maintain its security, stability, and sovereignty.
