Khaberni - Students agreed with teachers in some schools on being absent and not attending on Thursday as monitored by Khaberni, while employees decided to take their annual holidays on the same day, amid a rush in holiday applications.
In this context, some private schools have decided to give students the day off on Thursday according to Khaberni, despite an official notification by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan detailing the Eid al-Fitr holiday from the morning of Friday, March 20, until the evening of Monday, March 23.
The notification stipulates the closure of all ministries, official departments, institutions, public bodies, public universities, municipalities, Greater Amman Municipality, and companies wholly owned by the government during this period, with the exception of entities whose work nature requires otherwise.
The decision to give students the day off on Thursday has confused many parents, especially since employees in the public and private sectors are working on this day and are not included in the holiday, causing difficulties for families in arranging their children's affairs.
