Orange Jordan launches the Inspiring Change Award 2026 with support from Capital Bank and in partnership with Intaj

Khaberni - Orange Jordan launched the "Inspiring Change" award for the fifth consecutive year with support from Capital Bank, and in partnership with the Information Technology and Communications Companies Association “Intaj”, under the umbrella of the Women Empowerment Unit “SHETECHS”. This coincides with International Women's Day, as the company continues its commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs in the telecommunications and information technology (ICT) sector.

This year's initiative includes prizes worth 3000 dinars for first place, 2000 dinars for second place, and 1000 dinars for third place, along with a special prize for the first time worth 2000 dinars for the best project in providing sustainable solutions.

The executive director for Corporate Communication, Internal Communication and Sustainability at Orange Jordan, Engineer Rana Al-Dabbas, stated that the "Inspiring Change" award initiative, launched for the first time in 2022, is an extension of the company’s efforts to empower women by providing them with a positive platform to highlight their entrepreneurial projects and innovations in the digital field, contributing to inspiring ambitious women and enhancing the competitive opportunities for women-led businesses in the kingdom.

Commenting on this partnership, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication at Capital Bank, Tuline Barta, expressed the bank’s pride in supporting the "Inspiring Change" award in its fifth edition, as it is a platform that highlights success stories of women in the telecommunications and information technology sector. She pointed out that this sponsorship reflects the bank’s commitment to empowering Jordanian female entrepreneurs, particularly in promising digital sectors, and to enhancing the competitiveness of their projects and supporting their role in digital transformation and economic growth.

The head of the Women Empowerment Unit SHETECHS, Zein Asfour, indicated that the continued collaboration with Orange Jordan and Capital Bank reflects a shared belief in the importance of empowering women in the digital sector, and supporting female entrepreneurs, enabling them to access resources, opportunities, and professional networks to build a more diverse and innovative digital ecosystem.

Asfour explained that the "Inspiring Change" award represents an important national platform for highlighting women's success stories in the telecommunications and information technology sector, and spotlighting pioneering models that contribute to sustainable economic and social impact. She added that the digital world is currently experiencing unprecedented accelerations driven by artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and emerging technologies, making women's empowerment in this sector a strategic priority to ensure inclusive growth and enhance national economic competitiveness.

The competition criteria include that the applicant must be a founder, co-founder with at least a 50% stake, or a chief executive or senior manager in an active startup. The conditions also ensure that the representation of women in the startup team is at least 25%, that the startup is registered in Jordan, that it has a positive impact on society and the environment, covers sustainable development goals, and that it is an innovative digital company with potential for growth and sustainability.
