Khaberni - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship provided a service for paying Zakat Al-Fitr through the governmental Sanad app, according to what "Al-Mamlaka" observed on Monday.
To benefit from the service, the application needs to be updated, after which a dedicated icon for completing the payment electronically will appear.
The service allows payment for one or more persons according to the amount previously determined by the General Iftaa’ Department.
The Council of Iftaa’, Research and Islamic Studies had estimated the amount of Zakat Al-Fitr for this year to be 180 piasters per person, and also set the fidyah (a substitution for fasting) for feeding the poor at a minimum of one dinar per day for those unable to fast due to old age or illness.
