Khaberni - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a phone call with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed, during which they discussed the ongoing escalation in the region.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments in the region and their implications on security and stability. It was also affirmed that "the continued Iranian aggressive assaults on the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council represent a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region."
Both parties affirmed that "the Council's states will continue to exert all their efforts to defend their territories and provide all available means to support the security of the region and maintain its stability."
This call comes amid the continuing military operation launched by the United States and Israel on February 28 against Iran, which resulted in the death of the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior leaders, with ongoing exchanges of missile strikes and drones on multiple fronts in the region.
