Saudi Defense Announces Extensive Iranian Attack Intercepts 18 Drones in 20 Minutes

Khaberni - The Saudi Defense Ministry announced it has countered a widespread Iranian attack involving 18 drones that were intercepted in less than 20 minutes, including 4 in the Riyadh region and one in the Eastern region.
Major General Turki Al-Malki, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Defense Ministry, announced that the Royal Saudi Air Force and the Air Defense Forces managed to intercept and destroy several aerial threats, including 56 ballistic missiles and 17 cruise missiles destroyed before reaching their targets in the Kingdom in recent days.
He also confirmed the counteraction of another 450 drones that attempted to enter Saudi airspace.

Al-Malki confirmed that the Kingdom has become the first power in the world to successfully destroy cruise missiles, emphasizing the readiness of the defense systems and high interception capabilities.

These defensive operations come at a time when the region is experiencing an unprecedented escalation in the backdrop of the American-Israeli war on Iran that started on February 28, accompanied by Iranian missile and drone attacks on several Arab and regional countries.

It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia has informed Tehran that it prefers to settle the Iranian-American conflict diplomatically, but it will respond militarily if the Iranian attacks on its territory or energy facilities are repeated, according to media reports.
