Khaberni - The Basketball Federation has taken a series of important decisions concerning Al-Wehdat and Al-Faisaly, following the events that occurred during their last match in the Jordan Cup.
The decisions included the following:
Holding the championship final scheduled on Monday without an audience
Fining each team JOD 1000
Issuing a warning to Al-Wehdat player Malik Kanaan for aggressive behavior

Amman, March 15, 2026 - The Jordan Basketball Federation has decided to hold the final match of the Jordan Cup, which will bring together Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat on Monday, without the presence of spectators, based on decisions issued by the Disciplinary and Behavior Committee, following the regrettable incidents that occurred during the last match between the two teams in the same tournament which included verbal altercations among the spectators and throwing water bottles and fireworks.
Additionally, the Disciplinary and Behavior Committee decided to fine each club JOD 1000, and issue a warning to Al-Wehdat player Malik Kanaan for aggressive behavior witnessed at the end of the match. These penalties are part of the federation's commitment to promoting the principles of sportsmanship, maintaining the integrity of the competition, and upholding the ethical values that the sport is built upon.
The federation also emphasizes its full commitment to enforcing rules and regulations, and taking the necessary measures to ensure that matches are held in a sportive atmosphere that befits the reputation of Jordanian basketball and its history, away from any form of disturbances.
