Khaberni - Stemming from Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing its cooperation with local community institutions and consolidating its presence in national initiatives aimed at supporting digital innovation, Dr. Samer Al-Ayasra, director of the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and faculty member of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the university, participated in the first national digital hackathon at the level of Jordanian universities hosted by Yarmouk University, with participation from a group of academics, students, and those interested in innovation and digital technologies.
Dr. Al-Ayasra's participation in the jury panel stems from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University's keenness to broaden collaboration horizons with educational institutions, and to enhance partnerships supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation environment, in addition to supporting initiatives that contribute to honing students' and youth's skills and enabling them to develop their entrepreneurial ideas and transform them into feasible projects. The hackathon aims to spread the culture of entrepreneurship among Jordanian university students, and enhance their abilities to transform their creative ideas into prototype projects (MVPs), contributing to providing innovative solutions to address real challenges, especially societal challenges related to the holy month of Ramadan.
Amman Arab University also endeavors to establish its leading role in supporting the innovation and creativity ecosystem, by providing an academic environment that stimulates creative thinking and entrepreneurship, and enhancing the integration between academic knowledge and practical applications, in line with the requirements of sustainable development and contributing to community service and meeting the needs of the job market both locally and regionally.
