The Most Expensive Cookie Box in Egypt Ignites Social Media

Khaberni - A famous confectionery store in Cairo caused a wide controversy by unveiling an unconventional Eid cookie box, described as the most luxurious and bizarre this season, with a price close to 39,000 Egyptian Pounds.

This move surprised everyone and made this year’s cookie talk different. The surprise was not just the price, but also extended to the included "catalogue," which featured a charger, a fingerprint sensor, and a card for opening.

The announcement caused a stir on social media, with people wondering about the reason behind this high price.

The store explained that the reason is the unique design of the box, which can be opened using a secret number, fingerprint, programmed card, or a smartphone application.

The box contains speakers that deliver a welcoming message upon opening: "Happy Eid".

The distinction of the box is not limited to its exterior look, but also includes technological features, most notably an automatic greeting message through integrated speakers, and a "C" charging port to ensure the electronic systems continue to operate.

The design combines luxury, security, and modern technologies.

The box includes a luxurious assortment of Eid pastries, including cookies, biscuits, maamoul, ghraybeh, petit fours, and cookies.

Despite these features, the announcement generated a wide interaction, where some criticized the price, while others mocked it.
