Discovery of Body of British Star in Prison Weeks After Being Jailed on Charges of Sexual Assault on Two Minors

Khaberni - John Alford, the star of London's Burning, was found dead in his cell just weeks after his incarceration for sexually assaulting two minor girls.
Reports stated that Alford, whose real name is John Shannon, was found lifeless in his bed when staff opened his cell door on Friday.

A spokesman for the Prison Service told the "Daily Mail," "John Shannon died in prison on March 13, 2026. As with all deaths in custody, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will investigate the matter."

The former actor in Grange Hill was sentenced last January to eight and a half years in prison after being convicted of having sex with a 14-year-old girl (who was under the influence of alcohol) at a house party, and sexually assaulting her 15-year-old friend.
British artist Alford became famous in the 1980s through the "Grange Hill" drama aired by "BBC", and played "Billy Ray" in the series "London's Burning" from 1993 to 1998.

According to "The Sunday Sun", he was being held at "HMP Bure" in Norfolk, a Category C prison, where he was found dead.
