Khaberni - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Tourism Promotion Authority, launched a national campaign to enhance the cleanliness of tourist and archaeological sites across various regions of the kingdom and to reinforce community awareness of the importance of maintaining them as they are an integral part of the national identity and a fundamental pillar of the tourism sector. This campaign is part of the executive program for the cleanliness strategy through educational and media campaigns aimed at improving the quality of service in tourism facilities and fostering positive environmental behaviors through awareness programs targeted at students and local communities.
The campaign also aims to expand the scope of community participation by involving tourist guides and volunteers in initiatives carried out within the "Our Jordan is Paradise" program, alongside collaborating with the media and content creators to document these efforts and disseminate them widely. The ministry affirms that protecting tourist and archaeological sites is a shared national responsibility, where the roles of official institutions complement those of the community and visitors, enhancing Jordan's image as a sustainable and responsible tourist destination on both regional and international levels.
