Kuwait Air defenses intercept ballistic missiles that penetrated the countrys airspace

Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that the air defenses intercepted several ballistic missiles early this Thursday morning that had penetrated the airspace towards the southern part of the country.

According to the official Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA), the spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, stated in a press release that the interception operation was carried out without any damages.

Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since Saturday, February 28, which led to the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and since then Tehran has been retaliating by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.

Iran has implemented a naval blockade on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, and targeted oil tankers attempting to cross it.
