Emirates resumes flights between St Petersburg and Dubai

Khaberni  - Emirates Airline has announced the resumption of its direct flights between St. Petersburg and Dubai starting from May 1, via Pulkovo Airport after flights were suspended in March due to rising tensions in the Middle East.

The flights are scheduled to operate up to four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Boeing 777 aircraft. The flights depart from St. Petersburg at 23:05, and from Dubai at 13:35, with the journey taking about 8 hours from St. Petersburg and up to 8.5 hours in the opposite direction.

One-way ticket prices start from 45,000 rubles, while the round-trip price in basic economy class is about 65,000 rubles.

The return of Emirates flights eases the need for St. Petersburg residents to travel via transit or through Moscow. Since March 1, the city had lost its direct air link with the Emirates due to the closure of part of the airspace because of military escalation in the Middle East.

According to "Flight Radar" data, Gulf airlines have regained a significant part of their activity after the crisis in February, with Emirates operating about 410 flights daily, which corresponds to 75 to 80% of its pre-crisis level.

The Emirates remain a major foreign destination for St. Petersburg residents; in 2025, the number of travelers exceeded 375,000, with Dubai accounting for about 90% of this number.
