Hezbollah Launches 100 Rockets in a Single Attack and Israel Conducts Intense Raids on Lebanon

Khaberni - The Lebanese Hezbollah announced the launch of "Operation Devouring Storm", while Israeli sources stated that 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon in the current wave on Israel, and in the meantime, Israel conducted a series of intense raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut and different areas in the south, promising "to retaliate more severely".

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that a simultaneous rocket attack from Iran and southern Lebanon targeted Israel, amid announcements by the Israeli home front that residents of the north should stay near fortified locations.

Reuters quoted an Israeli official saying that Hezbollah and Iran launched a joint rocket attack on northern Israel in the "first coordinated attack".

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that two people were injured due to the recent rocket attacks on northern Israel, while the Israeli army announced that rescue teams were working at several sites where rockets or shrapnel had fallen.

"The Israel Today" newspaper reported direct injuries at several locations following the rocket attack carried out by Hezbollah on northern Israel.

Israeli media reported that a building in one of the northern areas was damaged due to the bombardment, which was accompanied by sounds of explosions in Kiryat Shmona, Haifa, and Jerusalem, with the repeated sound of air-raid sirens in northern and central Israel.

Channel "Kan" and the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets toward the Galilee, and that the air defenses intercepted several of them in Israeli skies.

Meanwhile, Iranian TV announced the launch of a new wave of rockets towards the occupied territories, amidst a clear escalation in the pace of simultaneous attacks on several fronts.

Later, Hezbollah clarified that it targeted Kiryat Shmona and Nahariya with a series of rockets as part of the "Operation Devouring Storm" operations, confirming that the attack comes as part of a new phase of military escalation.

Extensive Israeli raids
On the other hand, the spokesman for the Israeli army said the army "will respond more severely" to these operations, indicating that "what is to come is greater" in the upcoming hours.

Meanwhile, the occupation escalated its operations, and for the first time since the beginning of the war, conducted a series of consecutive and intensive raids on various areas in the southern suburb of Beirut, including Al Laylaki, Haret Hreik, Al Ghobeiry, and Bourj El Barajneh, and these raids resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Lebanese since the dawn of Wednesday.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported the deaths of 8 people and injuries to 3 others in an Israeli raid on the town of Sha'ath in eastern Lebanon, while the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported 17 injuries due to the Israeli raids on the southern suburb of Beirut.

The Israeli army spokesman said the army will continue targeting Hezbollah with the aim of completely disarming it, noting that Israel is going through difficult days, and that the next phase will be "full of uncertainty".

He also said that Israel has a wide range of targets inside Iran and plans to continue bombing, confirming that eradicating "the Iranian threat" could take a long time.

Since February 28, Israel and the United States have been conducting a military operation on Iran which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds including the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and security officials, and in response, Tehran fires rockets and drones towards Israel.

Iran also attacks what it says are American bases and interests in Arab countries, but some of these have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries and damages to civilian facilities, which the targeted Arab countries have condemned, demanding a halt to the aggressions against them.
