A Secret USIsraeli Plan for the PostWar Phase in Iran

Khaberni - Israeli sources revealed that the United States and Israel are working on preparing a plan for the post-war phase in Iran, aimed at creating conditions that may accelerate the fall of the Iranian regime. According to an official familiar with the plan details, the ultimate goal is to assist the Iranian people in replacing the government in Tehran, emphasizing that the final decision will remain with the Iranians themselves, according to the "Israel Hayom" newspaper.

The report mentioned that the plan includes public elements aimed at providing immediate and direct support to the Iranian people should they move to change the political leadership in the country, while the source refused to disclose the tactical aspects of the plan so as not to reveal its details to the other party.

According to the proposed view, the main force that is supposed to effect change in the Iranian regime is the Iranian people themselves, not the American or Israeli forces. Both parties hope that any alternative leadership will emerge from the main components of the Iranian society, rather than from ethnic minorities within the country like Kurds or Azerbaijanis.

The report noted that according to the original war plan, it was not expected that Iranians would take to the streets at this early stage. On the first day of the war, US President Donald Trump told the people of Iran to stay in their homes saying: "Take shelter in your homes. Stay inside. Outside is very dangerous. Many bombs will fall." He added that citizens would later be able to "take control of their government," affirming that "the government belongs to the people."

In the same context, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in a similar tone when he referenced the future in which the Iranian people may be asked to take to the streets. He said, "The moment of truth is approaching. We do not seek to divide Iran but to liberate it from the yoke of tyranny. Ultimately, liberation from tyranny depends on you."

Despite these statements, Israeli officials emphasize that regime change wholly depends on the actions of the Iranian people, hence there are no guarantees for the success of these efforts. Informed sources also indicate that there is no confirmation that attempts to overthrow the Iranian regime will start immediately after the war ends or that they will yield swift results following military strikes.

The sources add that a historic change of this nature might occur weeks or even months after the fighting ends, not necessarily immediately.

Given the rapid progress in implementing the military plan, which is moving faster than expected, an informed source estimates that the war might last shorter than the initial estimates. While US officials spoke in the early days about a war that could extend four to five weeks, current estimates indicate that the United States and Israel might stop their strikes against Iran earlier than that.
