Khaberni - Syrian director Samer Al Barqawi revealed the renewal of his artistic partnership with artist Taim Hassan in Ramadan 2027, confirming that their upcoming project is currently being prepared, as they study its details and final dramatic structure to be ready for the next season.
Al Barqawi explained in media statements that the secret to the continuity of collaboration between him and Taim Hassan is due to the shared passion for research and experimentation before any artistic achievement, confirming that the starting point in any dramatic experience is always from the desire to explore and develop ideas.
The Syrian director pointed out that the processes of research and passion are closely intertwined, as they lead to striving for development and difference in the dramatic presentation, far from looking at previous directorial experiences except with the eye of passion and the desire to present what is new.
Al Barqawi added that he always aims to present different dramatic worlds, which may sometimes appear unconventional, but at their core, they reflect the reality that people live today and are based on its details.
Al Barqawi talked about his experience in the series "Mawlana," explaining that the work has moved towards a bolder approach by presenting worlds that may seem hypothetical, but at the same time carry clear projections and effects on the current reality.
Al Barqawi also addressed the dissection of the character "Jaber," portrayed by Taim Hassan in the series, confirming that it stems from a complex reality Syrians live, and that the character's features are derived from a social and human space shaped by war, which gives it deep dramatic and human dimensions.
