Maaytah Calls for Accountability of Those Praising Iranian Missiles

Khaberni -   The Cybercrime Directorate in Jordan announced that it has monitored some accounts that are attempting to cast doubt on the Kingdom's stances and its institutions in relation to the military events occurring in the region.

The Directorate warned it will follow up and prosecute all account owners who promote rumors about Jordan's positions and its institutions or those who direct harmful leaks that lead to disturbing the society, and it threatened that the relevant authorities will monitor the numbers of phantom accounts on social media platforms that contribute to fostering sedition or attempt internal harm.

This happened while former Minister of Information Samih Maaytah called for the activation of laws and accountability of every Jordanian citizen who does not adopt the official narrative of the events.

In a tweet via the X platform, Maaytah warned of the necessity to prosecute, hold accountable, and question everyone who praises Iranian missiles as they pass towards "Israel".

The official media agency also announced that it hopes readers and citizens will be cautious about filming video footage of shrapnel, missiles, and flying objects if they occur and to stick to obtaining information from its official sources and references.
