Khaberni - Apple appears on the threshold of a new stage that could reshape the price map of its devices, with a clear orientation towards launching more advanced and luxurious products that could reach unprecedented levels.
At the same time, the company is trying to maintain its presence among users looking for less costly devices, in a strategy that bridges the two contradictory ends of the technology market.
According to a report published by the PhoneArena website, this new approach could eventually lead to an increase in the average prices of the company’s products, expanding the gap between economic devices and those targeting the upper class of users.
Current indicators reveal that Apple is working on reorganizing its product lines in a way that allows it to cover a wider price range than ever before.
While introducing low-cost devices to attract new user segments, it is also preparing to launch more advanced devices that feature exceptional specifications and higher prices.
In this context, the MacBook Neo computer has emerged as one of the prominent examples of the new economic category, as it is the first low-cost laptop the company has launched in years.
The device relies on a chip derived from iPhone processors and comes in youthful designs and colors targeting younger users.
According to the well-known tech journalist Mark Gurman, the company is moving towards widening the price gap between its different products.
On one hand, the company offers devices at a lower price like the MacBook Neo, alongside economical versions of iPhones like the iPhone 16e or the iPhone SE series that target users looking for an iPhone experience at a lower cost.
On the other hand, the company is working on developing more advanced and luxurious devices that may represent the highest price category in its product history.
Future devices that could change the technology market
The report presented by the PhoneArena website indicates that several products that Apple is currently working on clearly reflect this trend towards ultra-luxurious devices.
Among the most anticipated products: a foldable iPhone, AirPods equipped with built-in cameras, and MacBook computers with OLED screens.
Mark Gurman also mentioned that the foldable iPad project is still under development within the company, at a time when Apple has not yet finalized its expectations for the potential demand for this type of devices.
"Ultra" category.. A sign of the highest devices
Among the ideas proposed within the company is the use of the name "Ultra" to indicate the most advanced category within its products, a name that has begun to symbolize within Apple the devices that are highest in terms of performance and specifications.
This classification may include in the future the foldable phone or the new computers equipped with OLED screens, which are expected to come at much higher prices compared to traditional versions.
A market that accepts high prices
Some observers believe that the smart device market is indeed prepared to accept higher prices, especially with the success of extremely expensive devices in achieving strong sales.
The report points to examples like the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold from Samsung, which is priced at about $2,899, and quickly sold out after its launch in the market.
In this context, some users may choose less expensive devices like the MacBook Neo or the economic versions of iPhones, while others prefer to pay higher amounts to acquire the latest technologies.
