Khaberni - The Ministry of Interior in Qatar said today, Monday, that it arrested 313 people from different nationalities on the background of their involvement in filming and circulating video clips, and publishing misleading information, amid the ongoing Iranian bombings on the Gulf states following the American-Israeli attack on Iran.
A statement issued by the ministry said: "The Economic and Cybercrime Department of the Criminal Investigation Department succeeded in arresting (313) individuals of different nationalities on the background of their involvement in filming and circulating video clips, publishing misleading information, rumors, and actions that could incite public opinion, contrary to the instructions issued by the relevant authorities."
The statement added that "the necessary legal and administrative procedures have been taken against them."
In this context, "the Ministry of Interior emphasizes the importance of adhering to not filming or publishing clips or circulating rumors related to the current situations, and calls for obtaining information from its official accredited sources only."
The ministry confirmed that "the competent authorities will not hesitate to take the necessary legal actions against anyone proven to be involved in such violations."
