Neymars Chef Sues Him in Court for Hard Labor

Khaberni  - A chef who worked at the palace of Brazilian star Neymar da Silva has filed a lawsuit against the Santos star; due to work pressures that caused her health problems.

The Brazilian website "Metropolis" stated that the chef worked in the main palace where Neymar resides, located in the Mangaratiba area of Rio de Janeiro state, between July of last year and February of this year.

Neymar's Chef Sues Him in Court

According to the lawsuit filed in the Regional Labor Court in that state, the woman cooked for more than 150 people daily and worked under harsh conditions for up to 16 hours a day, carrying heavy weights, which ultimately damaged her health causing spinal problems and hip inflammation.

The chef believes that the physical effort of carrying meats and other heavy equipment in Neymar's house caused her the aforementioned health issues, and she confirmed that she had sought medical consultations and examinations to diagnose the injuries.

Under the contract signed between the chef and Neymar, her basic salary was 4,000 Brazilian real (about 716 dollars), but the woman confirmed in court that she was earning about 7.5 thousand real (about 1344 dollars) per month after calculating overtime and allowances.

According to the lawsuit, although she was contracted to work only during weekdays, she was forced to continue working on holidays, especially on Sundays, and mentioned that she was required to work more than 16 hours a day.

The chef claims that sometimes she had to extend her work until 11 pm and past midnight on some occasions while preparing meals—from breakfast to dinner—for the player and his friends.

The text of the lawsuit also states that "the plaintiff did not regularly benefit from the internal work break, and throughout the work period was forced to record her presence for the break even though she was actually continuing to work during that period."

Financial Compensation

The chef overall demands that Neymar pays her an amount of 262 thousand real (about 47 thousand dollars) which includes end of service dues, guarantee fund and penalties, wages for overtime and rest periods, compensation for moral damages in addition to medical expenses and pension.

No official comment has been issued on this information so far, either from Neymar or from his close circle who remain silent.
