UAE Air Defenses Intercept 16 Ballistic Missiles and 113 New Drones

Khaberni - The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that its air defenses detected 17 ballistic missiles, 16 of which were destroyed while one missile fell into the sea, and 117 drones were detected, 113 of which were intercepted, while 4 drones fell within its territory.

The Ministry stated in a report that since the beginning of the Iranian assault, 238 ballistic missiles have been detected, 221 of which were destroyed, while 15 missiles fell into the sea, and two fell within the country's territory.

It added that the air defenses also detected 1422 Iranian drones since the beginning of the attacks, 1342 of which were intercepted, while 80 drones fell within its territory, in addition to detecting and destroying 8 cruise missiles.

The Ministry indicated that these attacks resulted in 4 fatalities from Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities, in addition to 112 injuries ranging from minor to moderate involving multiple nationalities including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, and Turkish.

The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that it is in a state of alert and readiness to deal with any threats, and to firmly counter anything that targets the security of the state, ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, security, stability, and safeguarding its national interests and assets.
