Doctor Warns Intimacy Not Enough for Prostate Cancer Prevention

Khaberni - Dr. Dmitry Guravsky, a urology specialist, reported that engaging in intimate relationships does not protect against prostate cancer.
According to the doctor, while intimacy is beneficial for men's health, it does not protect against prostate cancer. He notes that the belief that it does protect against cancer is common, but mistaken.

He says:
"The development of prostate cancer is greatly influenced by age, genetics, hormone levels, lifestyle, and the presence of chronic inflammation. Age remains the main risk factor, so it is advised to start undergoing periodic screenings after the age of 45."

The doctor confirms that there is no reliable scientific evidence indicating that regular sexual intercourse can protect against cancer.

He adds that the best preventive measures include adopting a healthy lifestyle and regular medical check-ups, as these are the most effective measures for preventing prostate cancer. He also recommends quitting smoking, reducing stress, engaging in moderate daily physical activity, and following a balanced diet to reduce the risk of this disease.
