The Union and Reform Bloc Meets the Prime Minister Exceptional Circumstances and PoliticalEconomic Modernization and Open Dia

Khaberni - The leader of the Union and Reform parliamentary bloc, Captain Zuhair Mohammed Al-Khashman confirmed that the Ramadan meeting held today with the Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, which lasted about three hours, took place at a time when the Kingdom is going through exceptional circumstances that necessitate accelerating the work on modernization paths, and linking economic modernization with political modernization in a practical way that meets the needs of the people.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of reviewing the enabling files of parties and mechanisms to support and activate them on the ground, in line with the political modernization project, and to ensure that the development of party life is part of a comprehensive reform system, not just a mere slogan. He also pointed to the forthcoming submission of the local administration law draft to the parliament, considering it among the laws that contribute to the development of the local work system and promoting the modernization and reform process at the level of governorates and services.

In terms of the Social Security Law, the Prime Minister confirmed that the parliament holds the constitutional authority to introduce changes it sees fit, noting the government's openness to parliamentary observations and its keenness to reach a balanced formulation. In the same context, the bloc mentioned that an agreement was reached on the three axes of the Social Security Law, considering it an important and pivotal law, and that the bloc and deputies provided observations and interventions that fully serve Jordan's interest and also take into account the needs of regions and governorates.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that the relationship between the government and the deputies is complementary, not confrontational, and that continuing direct communication with the parliamentary blocs represents a fundamental pillar in managing the stage and making decisions that serve the national interest, confirming at the same time that the government is proceeding in a dialogue and openness approach with the council.

The bloc also affirmed the agreement on the necessity to represent the people and their aspirations, to be in touch with the public sentiment, and to conduct in a spirit of cooperation between the two authorities on issues that directly affect the citizens. The bloc also appreciated the importance of what the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army do in protecting the land and sky of Jordan, expressing their appreciation for their national role amidst the current regional circumstances.

In a related context, the Prime Minister stated that he will continue with field visits; believing that ground follow-up is the fastest way to enhance the executive performance and positively pressure officials to fulfill their duties and connect plans with outcomes. The meeting also touched upon a number of national and developmental projects that are being worked on within an integrated vision.
