Saudi Arabia intercepts three cruise missiles outside AlKharj

Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Defense said, in the early hours of Thursday, that defensive systems intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles outside the city of Al-Kharj.

Saudi Arabia reiterated its commitment to take all necessary measures to defend its security, protect its territory, citizens, and residents against repeated Iranian attacks.

Since Saturday, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated with missile and drone strikes on Israel and other countries in the region.

Iran has imposed a naval blockade on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and targeted oil tankers attempting to pass through it.

On Sunday, Hezbollah launched several missiles from Lebanon targeting northern Israel in response to the assassination of Khamenei, drawing Lebanon into an open war with Israel, where devastating air raids were carried out on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
