Khaberni - The Minister of Environment, Dr. Ayman Suleiman, honored the national worker in the Hakama area, belonging to the Greater Irbid Municipality, Ahmed Akkawi, in appreciation of his outstanding efforts in enhancing the culture of cleanliness and environmental awareness, and for his publication of the book "Papers on the Sidewalk.. A National Worker’s Perspective", in which he discussed his field experience and his views on environmental and public cleanliness issues.
Dr. Suleiman praised the initiative presented by Akkawi, confirming it represents an honorable model of active citizenship and a high sense of responsibility, and embodies the educational role that individuals can undertake to foster proper environmental behavior and enhance positive values within society.
Dr. Suleiman affirmed the ministry's readiness to cooperate with Akkawi and involve him in its educational programs and activities related to public cleanliness, and enhancing positive environmental behavior, indicating that the ministry will provide the necessary technical and logistical support to ensure the success of these efforts, contributing to broadening their impact and reaching different segments of society.
The honor comes within the framework of the Ministry of Environment's commitment to implement the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, in supporting targeted initiatives, and enhancing community partnerships, as part of the executive program for the clean-up strategy and reducing random waste disposal.
For his part, Akkawi expressed his thanks and appreciation for this gesture, affirming his readiness to cooperate with the ministry in implementing field campaigns and preparing educational materials, which serve the message of preserving the environment and enhance the concept of cleanliness as a national value and civilized behavior.
