Petra University Law School Incorporates Artificial Intelligence Courses into Its Curriculum

Khaberni - Petra University's Law School has updated its curriculum for the Bachelor of Laws program by integrating specialized courses in artificial intelligence, to keep up with the rapid changes in legal professions.
Dean of the Law School, Dr. Ali Al-Dabbas, stated that this update is in response to new legislation related to data protection, legal responsibility of smart systems, and technology ethics, adding that the school seeks to empower its graduates with advanced digital skills to enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
The decision included renaming the course "Fundamentals and Methods of Legal Research" to "Fundamentals and Methods of Research and Artificial Intelligence", and the course "Moot Courts and Judicial Applications" to "Moot Courts and Judicial Applications and the Role of Artificial Intelligence", aiming to enhance students' ability to utilize smart technologies in research and practical training.
The updated program aims to qualify legal personnel to deal with data governance and provide technical consultations, and this update contributes to preparing a generation capable of engaging with the digital transformation and contributing to shaping the future of justice.
