Pharmacy Arab Amman University Enhances Its Community Role by Serving More than 60 Visitors at the Free Medical Day in Ain A

Khaberni  - Within the ongoing initiatives conducted by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Arab Amman University and as part of its community responsibility and serving the surrounding local community's families and individuals, the faculty participated in organizing and managing the pharmacy activities during the open free medical day, held at Al-Baqa'a Secondary School for Boys in the province of Ain Al-Basha, supervised by Dr. Anas Al-Shoueiki, a faculty member, with the participation of a group of pharmacy students, including: Aya Shibita, Arin Mohammad Salem, Aya Al-Sharif, Dima Al-Sayah, and Abdul Rahman Al-Zoubi.

Arab Amman University’s participation included providing a variety of free medications and nutritional supplements to patients and visitors from different age groups, besides offering specialized pharmaceutical consultations in collaboration with public sector pharmacists from the Ministry of Health, the local community service committee in the Pharmacists' Syndicate of Jordan, in addition to several supporting drug companies and depots. These efforts served more than (60) patients with diverse health needs.

In her part, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Hweij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Arab Amman University, emphasized the importance of such quality participations in consolidating the college's community role and enhancing the integration between the academic and practical aspects, thereby contributing to preparing students who possess professional competence and ethical commitment, capable of consciously and responsibly serving their community. She pointed out that such initiatives enhance the pharmacist's presence in the local community, and establish the professional and humanitarian dimensions among students, reflecting the noble mission of the pharmacy profession and its central role in supporting the health system and serving the community.
