Dr. Celine Abughosh, a member of the university's High Committee for Smoking Control, represented Amman Arab University at the symposium. The event aimed to shed light on the reality of drug spread in Jordan and discuss ways to enhance institutional integration among concerned entities, in order to produce implementable national recommendations that help mitigate the impact of this phenomenon on the family and society. The symposium witnessed in-depth discussions that addressed the legal and social dimensions associated with the spread of drugs, and the pivotal role played by health, social, and security institutions in the areas of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, where participants emphasized the importance of adopting an integrated national approach based on the principle of partnership and institutional coordination, moving beyond conventional combat frameworks towards a comprehensive system that focuses on early prevention, effective treatment, and community reintegration.

At the conclusion of the symposium, participants stressed the need to strengthen cooperation frameworks between official institutions and universities, and to activate the role of academic and research institutions in supporting national efforts and formulating policies related to combating drugs, which contributes to protecting the family and society, and enhances the effectiveness of the national response to these growing societal challenges.
