Oil prices rise by 5 due to war in the Middle East

Khaberni - Oil prices witnessed a significant increase on Tuesday, with market expectations that the war in the Middle East might last longer than expected, amidst the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the attacks targeting the energy infrastructure.

The price of North Sea Brent crude for May delivery rose by 5.45%, recording $81.98 per barrel. Similarly, the price of West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery increased by 5.32% to reach $75.02 per barrel.
