AlFaisaly Players Alarm Sirens Affect Technical and Physical Performance

Khaberni - Despite the exceptional security conditions, Al-Faisaly managed to maintain its lead in the Jordanian League, but its players emphasize the danger of stopping play and its impact on injuries and the level of technical and physical performance.

Al-Faisaly's stars expressed their concerns about the increasing likelihood of injuries due to the security tension in the Middle East over the past two days. Despite the halt of sports activities in Western Asia, the Jordanian Football Association decided to continue the local league matches to maintain the completion of the season according to the schedule and prepare the national team for participation in the 2026 World Cup finals.

The decision to continue the league was accompanied by a set of security instructions, the most prominent of which are:

Stopping the game immediately upon hearing alarm sirens when danger approaches or missiles fly over the kingdom's skies. The first match to apply these instructions was the confrontation between Al-Faisaly and Al-Ahli in the 18th round of the Professional League, where the match was stopped twice for a total of 17 minutes, despite Al-Faisaly winning 3-0 and regaining the top of the standings.

Al-Faisaly players confirmed that the continuous interruptions negatively affect their technical and physical performance:

Ahmad Al-Arsan, the league's top scorer, explained that exiting the game for repeated periods then quickly returning with minimal warm-up could increase the risk of muscle injuries.
Mohamed Al-Halak, his attack partner, emphasized that the interruptions undoubtedly affect performance, but he noted that the team managed to finish the game without issues and secure the points.
Khaled Zakaria, the creator of the first goal, added that the frequent stopping of the game makes players tense and reduces their physical readiness, and the lack of audience made the match feel more like a friendly encounter.
Hossam Abu Al-Zahab, the team's defender and a member of the Jordanian national team, acknowledged understanding the emergency instructions and emphasized the importance of the victory to compensate for the absence of the audience.
Nour Al-Din Bani Atiyah, the team's goalkeeper, focused on the importance of adapting to emergency circumstances, confirming that the team was mentally ready to resume play and achieve a win with three goals.
