Israeli Army Announces Targeting Prominent Hezbollah Leader in Beirut

Khaberni - The Israeli Army announced on Monday the targeting of a prominent Hezbollah leader in Beirut in response to the party striking the northern occupied territories overnight, while the Defense Minister warned that Secretary-General Naim Qasim had become a "target".

The army stated in a release, "The Israeli Army recently precisely targeted a high-ranking Hezbollah official in Beirut".

On his account on the (X) platform, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz posted a warning stating that Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qasim is now "a target for elimination".

The Israeli Army announced a wave of strikes against Hezbollah "across Lebanon" on Monday, following a rocket launch claimed by the party.

In response to the assassination of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Lebanese Hezbollah launched rockets and drones at Israel on the night of Sunday to Monday.
