Khaberni - Mazen Al-Qadi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, said on Monday that the council stands behind His Majesty King Abdullah II in all the decisions and measures he takes to protect the homeland and preserve its stability.
In his speech during the House of Representatives session, Al-Qadi condemned the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the territories of the Kingdom and the Gulf Arab states.
He stated that these acts represent a serious aggression against the sovereignty of states and a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and warn of the escalation of conflict in the region.
The following is the text of Al-Qadi's speech at the start of today's parliamentary session:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the truthful, the trustworthy
And upon all the prophets and messengers
Dear colleagues,
We condemn and reject the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the territories of our kingdom and our brethren in the Gulf Arab states, as they constitute a serious aggression on state sovereignty, a blatant violation of international law, and the principles of good neighborliness, and portend an expansion of the regional conflict.
Amid military confrontations between the United States, Israel, and Iran, Jordan has taken a clear stance in rejecting violations of its sovereignty and disallowing its territory to be a battleground for any conflict. Prior to the outbreak of military attacks, Jordan spared no effort in striving for peaceful solutions to the Iranian file, supporting all paths of dialogue and settlement. Yet, the Iranian side has infringed upon our lands, which is unacceptable behavior bravely confronted by the heroes of our army and the falcons of the Royal Air Force.
We stand in the House of Representatives behind His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has clearly declared that Jordan will not be part of any regional escalation, that our sovereignty is a red line, and we fully support His Majesty in all his decisions and measures to protect the homeland and preserve its stability.
We also condemn the attacks that targeted our brotherly Gulf Arab states, affirming that the security of the Gulf is part of Jordan's security, and we support our brethren in whatever steps they take to protect their homelands.

While we salute our armed forces - the Arab Army, which has protected the skies and the land of the homeland from dangers, we extend our highest greetings and congratulations to their Supreme Commander, His Majesty King Abdullah II, on the auspicious occasion dear to our hearts, the anniversary of the Arabization of the army command, a courageous historical decision made by the late King Hussein bin Talal, which entrenched the meaning of sovereignty and the independence of decisions, ensuring that the army always remains a symbol of loyalty, discipline, and sacrifice.
Today, the journey continues under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who advances the military institution towards more modernization and professionalism, extending on your behalf, dear colleagues, a salute of pride and reverence to the master of the country and his devoted Crown Prince, and the heroes of the Arab Army, and all members of our security forces, active and retired, who form the robust shield and impregnable fence of the homeland.
May God preserve Jordan as a precious and secure nation, and preserve its leadership, its army, and its people, and maintain upon it the blessing of security and stability.
