Khaberni - The statement from the exceptional 50th Ministerial Council meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council concerning the Iranian aggression on the council states demanded an immediate halt to the Iranian attacks.
The statement strongly condemned the Iranian aggression against the council states and Jordan.
The statement noted that Iran's attacks "targeted civilian facilities and residential areas, causing significant damage".
The statement emphasized that "the security of the council states is indivisible, and any attack on a member state is considered an attack on all".
It added: "We will take all necessary actions to defend our security and stability".
It continued: "We reserve the right to respond according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter".
The statement reaffirmed that "dialogue and diplomacy are the only ways to overcome the crisis".
The statement called on the Security Council "to assume its responsibilities and take an immediate and firm stand".
The statement considered that "the stability of the Gulf is a fundamental pillar of the stability of the global economy".
