Khaberni - The Government Communication Minister and the official spokesperson Mohammed Al-Momani confirmed that Jordan closely follows the developments in the region, highlighting that our utmost priority is to maintain national security and the safety of its citizens.
The Minister pointed out that the Jordanian Armed Forces have intercepted two ballistic missiles that were targeting Jordanian territory, dealing with them successfully and intercepting them.
He noted that some debris fell in various locations across the kingdom, which were handled by the relevant authorities who took the necessary measures.
Al-Momani stressed the importance of adhering to the guidelines issued by the security authorities and following advice to ensure public safety, urging not to spread rumors or anything that causes concern and to obtain information from official sources.
The Minister reassured citizens that the Jordanian Armed Forces are fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation, having placed all their formations and units ready to counter any attempts that might threaten the kingdom’s security and stability.
Al-Momani explained that the Jordanian Armed Forces have taken necessary measures to support the units deployed along the border fronts and have activated military cooperation mechanisms with brotherly and friendly countries.
Regarding the movement of travelers to and from the kingdom, the Minister advised to directly contact airline companies to confirm their flight schedules before heading to the airport, anticipating some slowdowns in navigation.
