The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that an unprecedented incident occurred in the city of Kerdasa in the Giza governorate, referring to an Egyptian youth who rammed several citizens with a car that had Israeli flag stickers on the windows. Roy Kais, the editor of Arab affairs at the corporation, mentioned that the residents tried to stop him and remove the flag stickers, leading to a verbal altercation between him and the locals, during which he hit three people and caused damage to other cars. Later, the residents managed to stop the car and assaulted the driver, until the police arrived and arrested him.
The accused stated in his testimony that he felt threatened by the assault and decided to flee the scene in his car. However, he lost control while trying to escape through a crowded street, hitting several citizens and both parked and moving vehicles.
The security forces listened to the statements of the injured, who confirmed that they were surprised by the car speeding in an attempt to leave the street, before it ran some of them over and collided with several vehicles, resulting in various injuries that required medical attention.
The criminal investigation team also conducted a precise survey of the financial losses incurred by the damaged vehicles, as a precursor to taking the necessary legal actions.
A report on the incident was filed, and the competent prosecution office was notified, which began the investigation, while investigations continue to uncover all details and understand the full circumstances of the incident.
