Ministry of Social Development Aoun Platform Enhances Transparency and Oversight of Donations

Khaberni - Hanadi Al-Manaseer, Director of Associations at the Ministry of Social Development, said on Thursday that the "Aoun Platform" aims to collect donations legally and electronically, enhancing the transparency and oversight of donations, in addition to facilitating electronic payment methods for donations.

Al-Manaseer added to "The Kingdom" that the platform is under the supervision of the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations governing the field of charitable associations.

She explained the registration mechanism on the platform by submitting an application for fundraising to the ministry, which is then reviewed by a fundraising licensing committee in the Ministry of Social Development. After approval, associations are listed on the platform. She indicated that the application for fundraising will initially be submitted directly to the ministry, and is set to become electronic in the future.

Al-Manaseer mentioned that 34 charitable associations are currently listed on the platform, noting that bank accounts for donation campaigns do not enjoy "bank secrecy" to enhance transparency and ensure donations reach their rightful recipients.

Today, the national "Aoun" fundraising platform began its operational activation, after it was launched in a trial version that lasted a week. During this trial, there was an opportunity to explore the services of the platform and how to use it before officially starting to receive donations.

During a press conference, Bani Mustafa explained that the "Aoun" platform represents a national achievement in the field of governance and organization of fundraising procedures, emphasizing that the platform establishes a new phase of institutional charitable work based on transparency and accountability, ensuring that donations reach needy Jordanian families fairly and efficiently.

She pointed out that 34 associations are currently registered on the platform, all of which are subject to legal and regulatory frameworks, noting that the ministry is working to expand the base of beneficiary associations progressively, enhancing partnership with civil society institutions and improving coordination between relevant entities.

The Ministries of Social Development and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship launched the national fundraising platform "Aoun" in its trial version on February 19, 2026. The platform allows citizens to donate easily through available digital payment methods within an official and secure electronic environment.

The "Aoun" platform is a government digital platform dedicated to organizing and collecting donations for needy Jordanian families, under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development with technical support from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. It aims to enhance the efficiency of charitable work and ensure support reaches its deserving recipients transparently and reliably through a digital platform.

The platform provides an easy digital donation experience, allowing individuals and companies to support beneficiary families from anywhere and at any time through electronic payment methods and digital wallets available. This contributes to simplifying donation procedures and extending community participation. The platform serves as a digital link between donors and licensed, officially registered charitable institutions and associations distributed across various provinces of the Kingdom. These associations handle the delivery of donations to deserving families, while the government platform's role is limited to organizing, monitoring, and tracking the process electronically, ensuring transparency, reliability, and efficient support delivery to recipients.

The platform, in cooperation with institutions and charitable associations, focuses on several key support areas for needy families. These areas include distributing food baskets to the most needy families, providing healthcare, supplying medicines and treatment, supporting education, assisting needy students with school supplies and bags, supporting childhood by providing milk, diapers, and necessary care, and housing support including rent and home maintenance. The platform also provides clear information about campaigns and continual updates on progress and results, all contributing to enhanced transparency and trust.
