Khaberni - The health and professional monitoring teams in the Greater Amman Municipality destroyed, during the first week of the blessed month of Ramadan, 4882 liters of Ramadan juices unsuitable for human consumption.
They issued 752 warnings, recorded 84 violations against offenders, and collected 94 food samples for submission to precise laboratory tests to ensure the safety and compliance of the contents.
The health and professional monitoring teams also conducted inspection rounds on establishments and stalls displaying Ramadan juices and foodstuffs to ensure compliance with approved health requirements. This involved visiting 256 stalls selling juices and food items, where 218 of these were relocated for violating public health requirements.
The Greater Amman Municipality confirms its continuation in conducting inspection and monitoring rounds during the blessed month of Ramadan, to address any infringements that may affect public health and food safety, ensuring compliance of the owners of establishments and stalls with the health regulations and instructions issued by them, urging citizens to avoid purchasing from untrusted sources or those lacking health standards.
