Khaberni - Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarma, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, directed an educational message to school students in the Kingdom, warning them of the dangers of drugs on the minds and futures of youth, affirming that prevention is a joint national and educational responsibility, and that the school will remain a strong fortress against anything that threatens sound values and behavior.
Al-Ajarma pointed out that the ministry is proceeding with the implementation of a comprehensive awareness plan in coordination with relevant authorities, foremost among them the Anti-Narcotics Department, to enhance awareness among students and achieve a safe and healthy educational environment.
The text of the message follows:
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
My sons and daughters, school students in our dear Jordan,
I address you today from a position of trust for which we will be held accountable before God, and from a position of responsibility we bear towards your minds, hearts, and futures. The greatest threat to nations is not just an enemy on the horizon, but an idea that infiltrates minds, weakening them, and a behavior that lurks in the guise of experimentation and distorts clarity. Thus, the discourse on the drug menace is not a trivial matter but a moment of awareness before a real battle of values, a battle titled the preservation of humanity from all that diminishes its dignity and extinguishes its inner light.
My sons and daughters…
Our true religion, when it prohibited all that dulls the mind, intended for mankind to remain master of their decisions, free in their will, dignified in their awareness and insight. The mind is light, and whoever neglects their light loses their compass and strays. Allah said, "And do not throw [yourselves] into destruction with your [own] hands," and every path leading to the dimming of awareness or weakening of the body or corruption of the spirit is a gateway to the destruction that we were forbidden from. Do not allow a fleeting illusion to steal a big dream from you, nor the curiosity of a moment to extinguish the glow of years of hard work and aspiration.
The Ministry of Education, with its headquarters and its administrations and directorates in the field, views this matter with utmost care and deep concern, believing that prevention is an educational responsibility before it is a regulatory action. We have directed in previous circulars to enhance systematic cooperation and direct coordination with anti-drugs offices across the kingdom, solidifying a conscious national partnership in which efforts are integrated between the school and specialized authorities, to keep our children protected and fortified and to keep awareness as their primary fence.
The ministry also adopted a comprehensive awareness plan that included the distribution of educational brochures carefully prepared academically and educationally, containing precise and simplified information that reveals the dangers of this affliction and its health, psychological, and social effects, to be in your hands as knowledge material to enhance understanding, develop critical sense, and enable you to make sound decisions with conviction and insight.
Within the framework of sustainable awareness, activity periods have been activated to be platforms for constructive dialogue and guidance lectures given by specialists and educational counselors, discussing issues clearly and responsibly, and opening safe spaces for questions and frankness so that students feel that they are partners in awareness and in shaping attitudes rather than passive receivers of warning.
As for the morning school broadcast, we have made it a daily podium that plants awareness with the first light of day, reminding of values, enhancing belonging, and linking between science and ethics, so your steps begin each morning on solid ground of recognition and steadfastness. School administrations, teachers, and counselors perform their roles with vigilant eyes and a sincere paternal heart, they oversee, guide, encompass, and build a safe school environment where the student is protected in thought and behavior, cherished in dignity, and confident in self.
In all this, we draw steadfastness from the wise vision of our Hashemite leadership, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect him, who has always affirmed that the Jordanian human is the most precious asset, and that protecting the youth and preserving their awareness is a high national priority. This royal concern forms a clear compass for us and doubles our responsibility to be worthy of this trust, caring for the minds of our children as great trusts are cared for.

Strength is not in embracing a dangerous experience, but in the ability to refuse it steadfastly. Courage is not in accompaniment of error, but in victory over its temptations. Choose your company with wisdom, and fill your time with what elevates you, for the soul when tied to a noble goal and clear message, becomes inaccessible to all slippage.
Be guardians for yourselves and supportive advisors to your peers. Rescuing a friend from falling into error is to rescue an entire family from prolonged pain. Your mutual support is a strength, your awareness a firm fortress, and your steadfastness a message of hope for this nation that awaits from you beneficial knowledge, sublime morality, and clear minds that contribute to its building and flourishing.
I pray to God that He protects you with His guardianship, protects you from all harm, and clothes you in the garment of health and well-being, and places in your minds a light that never extinguishes, in your hearts steadfast faith, and in your steps steadfastness towards a future befitting you and our dear Jordan.
