Barcelona elections spark controversy and Messi is out of the game

Khaberni - It seems that Lionel Messi is not welcoming his involvement in the scene of the Barcelona club presidency elections on March 15th next, despite the repeated use of his name in the candidates' advertising campaigns.
As the race intensifies between candidates like Joan Laporta, Victor Font, Marc Sira, and others, some competitors have resorted to using signs, images, or indirect messages linked to Messi in their banners and electoral programs, aiming to attract the support of member votes.

However, Messi, who left the club several years ago and is now a player at Inter Miami, has not agreed to these usages and has not entered into any discussions with the candidates, nor does he intend to support any party or engage in the electoral campaign.

Reports indicate that the player is annoyed by the circulation of his name and image without his permission, and that some billboards that represent indirect invitations for his return to Barcelona were a surprise to his circle, and were not coordinated with him.

Therefore, his message remains clear: he will not be part of the electoral conflict, will not officially support any candidate, and prefers to maintain a neutral stance away from the club's internal politics.
